Amatus Hires Drue Seigerman as the Executive Director of Serenity House
Seigerman brings nearly two decades of experience in the addiction treatment field to the growing behavioral healthcare company.
Houston, TX, August 16, 2021—TruHealing Centers has hired Drue Seigerman as Executive Director of Serenity House in Houston, Texas. Seigerman—who is in recovery himself—has worked in the addiction treatment field for 17 years and has been a clinician, a coordinator, a director, and an executive director. He has a master’s degree in human services, specializing in addiction treatment, and another in marriage and family therapy. He is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and a licensed professional counselor.
Seigerman worked for High Focus Centers in New Jersey for 15 years. In 2018, he became Executive Director of BlueCrest Recovery Center, helping open new facilities, build infrastructure, and provide employees with the feedback needed to grow.
Seigerman brings years of leadership experience to the new position and says one of his best skills is having worked a lot of the jobs he will oversee. “I’m not removed from knowing aspects of a person’s job that bring joy, but also aspects that can be difficult. When I speak to clinicians, I think that resonates with them. There’s a sense of, ‘He knows what we’re going through.’”
Seigerman is excited to help Serenity House—and its employees—grow. Chris Foster, Vice President of Operations at Amatus Health, agrees that Seigerman is the best person for the job. “Drue has an incredible passion and knack for helping both clients and employees reach their full potential. His breadth of experience in the treatment field will allow him to continue the amazing growth that is already happening at Serenity House. We know he will do great things at Amatus.”
Serenity House is an affiliate of TruHealing Centers and Amatus Health, a nationally accredited behavioral health system operating 18 centers in seven states and DC. ARC provides the full continuum of addiction-related care, from medical detox to long-term outpatient aftercare.
