Toledo, OH– Midwest Recovery Center, a substance use disorder and mental health treatment facility located in Lucas County, procured property from Davis College in Toledo on Sept. 4 in order to expand outpatient treatment services and host a slew of new services. The new location is on Monroe Street in West Toledo and will be the center’s third overall location. The newest location will accept commercial insurance as well as Medicaid. Midwest Recovery Center CEO Matt Bell sees the opportunity to acquire the Davis College property as a continuation of the nearly two-century legacy of education and betterment the college has made in Toledo. “This beautiful building is perfect for our specific use, and the acquisition will allow so many individuals seeking our services to finally be able to find care within our agency,” Bell said. “The impact that this building will have on our home town will no doubt change and save lives.” The 25,000 square-foot facility will undergo major renovations slated to begin early next year. According to Bell, the plan is to create an all-in-one outpatient recovery center which provides partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient and treatments as well as individual and group therapy. Once renovated the center will include areas for exercise therapy, yoga, meditation, and primary care medical services, and will even have an on site pharmacy.
