AMATUS FOUNDATION HOLDS FIRST 5K RECOVERY RUN IN JULY
PROCEEDS FROM EVENT TO BENEFIT THE CARROLL COUNTY YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU
Owings Mills, MD, June 24, 2021 — The Amatus Foundation, in partnership with the Carroll County Youth Services Bureau will hold its first 5k Run for Recovery on July 25 at 8 am. The event will take place at the Wakefield Valley Golf Course in Westminster, Maryland.
The Carroll County Youth Service Bureau provides a continuum of community-based mental health and substance use services for children, adults and families in Carroll County, Maryland. Amatus Foundation’s Liz Silverberg believes the county bureau’s missions aligns with theirs, and sees the race as a way to raise awareness of an issue impacting communities across the state.
“At Amatus we’re all about changing lives for the better, and so is the Carroll County Youth Service Bureau,” said Silverberg. “In this line of work, there are no competitors, only allies. That’s why we’re partnering to raise awareness about mental health and substance use disorders. The more resources, the better, and we hope to continue reaching out to those in our community.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available to local businesses and media at SPRINT, RUN and JOG levels. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities or to register for the race, visit amatusrunforrecovery5k.com.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
