AMATUS RECOVERY CENTERS PROMOTES TYLER STEWART TO MARYLAND COORDINATOR OF ALUMNI AND FAMILY SERVICES
STEWART HAS WORKED FOR THE COMPANY SINCE 2018 AND IS THE FIRST TO FILL THE NEW ROLE
OWINGS MILLS, MD, February 19, 2021 — The growing behavioral health care company TruHealing Centers has named Tyler Stewart the first Maryland Coordinator of Alumni and Family Services. Stewart first joined Amatus as a Behavioral Health Technician at Foundations Recovery Center in Baltimore in 2018. He has since worked as the center’s Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor and Director of Operations, and later in Community Outreach for the parent company.
In his new role, Stewart will oversee programming for treatment center graduates and their families from Amatus’ Maryland locations: Foundations Recovery Center, Awakenings Recovery Center, and Fresh Start Recovery Center. Stewart will maintain relationships with alumni in order to identify ways for them to get involved in aftercare alumni programming. He will run family support group meetings via Zoom each Tuesday evening, building and connecting recovery communities across the state.
“It excites me to be able to reunite with clients and see how they are doing,” Stewart said. “I get to hear great stories from those who are doing well and help the ones who aren’t. Being able to help their families is especially rewarding.”
TruHealing Centers National Director of Alumni and Family Programming, Marc Wiltshire, is confident that Stewart is the right choice for the company’s new role.
“Tyler was the best choice for this position, as his link to the Maryland region runs deep,” he said. “This will provide each client and their family the best overall picture of what treatment can do for their respective journey of recovery.”
TruHealing Centers is a subsidiary of Amatus Health, a nationally accredited behavioral health system operating 14 centers in six states across the nation. ARC provides the full-continuum of addiction-related care, from medical detox to long-term outpatient aftercare.
