AMATUS RECOVERY CENTERS IN GEORGIA NAME MAHOGANY ELLIS, LPC, AS
NEW CLINICAL DIRECTOR
MS. ELLIS BRINGS CLOSE TO TWO DECADES OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH EXPERIENCE TO THE GROWING ATLANTA TREATMENT CENTER
ATLANTA, GA, February 26, 2021 — The TruHealing Centers in Georgia — Georgia Addiction Treatment Center, Atlanta Detox Center and Atlanta Center for Mental Health — have named Mahogany Ellis, LPC, as new Clinical Director. Ms. Ellis, who has worked in positions such as case management and counseling, brings close to two decades of clinical experience to the centers.
Ms. Ellis first knew that she wanted to be a counselor after taking a psychology course in undergrad. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Fisk University, and a Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta. She is an LPC in the state of Georgia.
In her new role, Ms. Ellis will oversee the clinical team at ADC & ACMH, and design and roll out new programming for the growing centers. She welcomes the challenges that the new opportunity brings.
“The possibility of being the best mental health facility in Georgia is very exciting for me,” Ms. Ellis said. “To be able to help create a program that is client-focused and effective is what we’re working toward.”
TruHealing Centers Vice President of Clinical Services Avi Burstein is confident that Ms. Ellis’s experience will be a boon for the Atlanta behavioral health centers.
“Her energy and creativity, paired with her clinical and administrative acumen, will be a great fit for our wonderful teams in Georgia,” Mr. Burstein said. “I am certain her addition will help grow our programming, allowing us to meet the needs of our communities.”
Georgia Addiction Treatment Center, Atlanta Detox Center and Atlanta Center for Mental Health are subsidiaries of TruHealing Centers. TruHealing Centers are part of Amatus Health, a nationally accredited behavioral health system operating 14 centers in six states across the nation.
