Avi Burstein Joins Amatus Recovery Centers as Vice President of Clinical Services
BURSTEIN BRINGS MORE THAN A DECADE OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE TO THE GROWING COMPANY
OWINGS MILLS, MD, December 1, 2020 — Amatus Recovery Centers adds Avi Burstein to the team as its Vice President of Clinical Services. Mr. Burstein is a graduate of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. He brings more than a decade of clinical and Behavioral Healthcare experience.
Mr. Bustein began his career in the mental health field in 2007, taking on his first managerial role at Chase Brexton in 2014. He later took on positions as Access Manager, then Director of Behavioral Health Services at Chase Brexton in Mt. Vernon. Before joining Amatus, Mr. Burstein was the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Partners of Frederick.
As part of the Amatus team, Mr. Burstein will ensure that the company continues to offer premier substance use and mental health disorder treatment to as many individuals as possible, while upholding the company’s high standards of care. Mr. Burstein has expressed great excitement about the opportunity.
“I have a passion for addiction work,” he said. “Amatus is very young, but has a great presence across the map. My goal is to build out a true co-occurring program where clients can go from inpatient, to partial hospitalization, and eventually to an outpatient program.”
Mr. Burstein strongly believes in the power of therapy. In his own clinical practices, he has used modalities such as motivational interviewing to build clients’ confidence. In his position with Amatus, he also plans to track trends in the company’s census to determine which therapeutic modalities should be standardized across the each of the company’s centers.
Amatus Recovery Centers COO Michael Silberman is confident that Mr. Burstein will provide stable growth for the company’s centers throughout the country.
“Avi’s clinical expertise will be a boon for our already exceptional clinical programming across the country,” Mr. Silberman said. “Amatus Recovery Centers takes no shortcuts in making sure that the care we’re providing is evidence-based, thorough, and effective. Avi has a proven track record for meeting these goals.”
Amatus Recovery Centers, a growing network of substance use and mental health disorder treatment centers across the country, is a subsidiary of Amatus Health.
